Kingshot Troops Guide: Training, Tiers and Healing
How troops work in Kingshot – troop types, why higher tiers matter, how to keep training efficient and why healing beats retraining.
KingshotTroops Guide Your heroes lead, but troops do the fighting in Kingshot. A well-trained army protects your town, clears PvE targets and makes you a valuable alliance member.
Troop types
Kingshot has several main troop types, each trained in its own building. Different types play different roles in battle – some are sturdier, others hit harder or from range. Check each type’s description to see how it fits your army.
A balanced army usually performs better than one built entirely from a single type, especially in rallies and defence.
Troop tiers
Research and building upgrades unlock higher troop tiers. Each tier is significantly stronger than the last, so:
- Prioritise research that unlocks new tiers.
- Train new tiers once they’re available.
- Promote older troops if the game offers it, instead of keeping low-tier armies forever.
Efficient training
- Keep training buildings busy, especially before events that reward training.
- Use training speed-ups during events for extra rewards.
- Make sure you have enough food to support larger armies.
Healing vs retraining
Wounded troops go to your infirmary. Healing them is usually much cheaper and faster than training new ones. After fights:
- Heal immediately so your army is ready.
- Ask for alliance help on healing timers.
- Avoid fights that overflow your infirmary – troops beyond its capacity may be lost.
Common mistakes
- Training only low-tier troops for too long.
- Letting training buildings sit idle.
- Ignoring infirmary capacity.
- Fighting with wounded troops.
Strong troops are built steadily. Keep training, unlock new tiers and heal after every fight. See our heroes guide for who should lead them.
