Clash of Clans Clan Capital Guide: Capital Gold, Raid Weekends and Raid Medals
How the Clan Capital works in Clash of Clans – contributing Capital Gold, attacking during Raid Weekends and spending Raid Medals on the items that matter.
Clash of ClansClan Capital Guide The Clan Capital is a shared base that your whole clan builds together. Members contribute resources to upgrade it, then attack other clans’ capitals during Raid Weekends to earn rewards. It’s one of the most social parts of Clash of Clans.
How the Clan Capital works
- The capital is made up of districts, led by the Capital Hall.
- Members contribute Capital Gold to upgrade buildings and unlock new districts.
- During Raid Weekends, clans attack other capitals for Raid Medals and clan rewards.
Capital Gold
You earn Capital Gold mainly from raiding during Raid Weekends and from other in-game sources. Contribute it to:
- The district your clan leaders choose – coordinated upgrades are far more effective.
- Buildings that unlock new troops or spells for capital raids.
- Defences once your offence is in good shape.
Raid Weekends
Raid Weekends run from Friday to Monday. During that time:
- Each member gets a limited number of raid attacks.
- Attacks target other clans’ capital districts.
- Destroying districts earns your clan Raid Medals and Capital Gold.
Tips for raiding
- Finish districts your clanmates started rather than opening new ones.
- Use the capital troops and spells you’ve unlocked – they’re separate from your home village army.
- Follow your clan’s plan if leaders coordinate which districts to hit.
- Use all your attacks – unused attacks are lost rewards.
Raid Medals
Raid Medals are spent at the Trader, which offers items such as magic items, ore and other upgrades. Prioritise:
| Priority | Item | Why |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Magic items for your longest upgrades | Huge time savings – see our magic items guide |
| 2 | Ore for hero equipment | Stronger heroes – see our hero equipment guide |
| 3 | Resources and potions | Useful for pushes |
Being a good Clan Capital member
- Contribute Capital Gold regularly.
- Attack every Raid Weekend.
- Coordinate in clan chat.
- Help finish districts instead of spreading attacks thin.
Common mistakes
- Spreading attacks across many districts without finishing any.
- Ignoring Raid Weekends completely.
- Contributing to random buildings instead of the clan’s priority.
The Clan Capital rewards teamwork. Contribute, raid every weekend and spend your medals wisely – your home village will grow faster as a result.
