Idle Heroes Tower of Oblivion Guide: Climbing With Counters and Patience
How to climb the Tower of Oblivion in Idle Heroes – reading enemy teams, using faction counters and auras, and knowing when to stop and upgrade.
Idle HeroesTower of Oblivion Guide The Tower of Oblivion is Idle Heroes’ climbing challenge. Each floor is a fixed battle, and clearing it gives rewards and shows how far your team has come. Progress is permanent, so every floor you clear is a step forward.
How it works
- Floors get steadily harder.
- Each floor has a fixed enemy team.
- Clearing floors gives rewards, often including useful materials.
Because enemy teams are fixed, you can study them and plan your line-up.
Reading the enemy team
Before attacking a floor:
- Check the enemy factions – bring heroes with faction advantage.
- Look at their front line – a tough front may need more damage or armour-breaking effects.
- Spot dangerous back-line heroes – plan control to stop them.
See our factions and team building guide for how faction advantage works.
Building tower teams
- Use faction counters, even if it means swapping in a slightly weaker hero.
- Check the aura – changing heroes can change your team bonus.
- Keep a healer for longer fights.
- Add control against teams with strong ultimates.
Retry before upgrading
Battles include some randomness. If you lose narrowly:
- Try again a few times.
- Adjust positions – swap which heroes face the enemy’s strongest attackers.
- Change one hero to counter the biggest threat.
When to stop climbing
The tower doesn’t expire. When you hit a wall:
- Upgrade your core team with your daily resources.
- Focus on events and other modes for a few days.
- Come back after a meaningful upgrade.
Common mistakes
- Brute-forcing floors without checking factions.
- Forgetting the aura when changing heroes.
- Spending resources on random heroes just for one floor.
Climb with counters, retry close fights and come back stronger – the Tower of Oblivion rewards patience more than raw power. It’s a great complement to your daily routine.
