Kingdom vs Kingdom (KvK) is the defining event of Rise of Kingdoms. Several kingdoms are placed on a shared map and compete for territory, honour and rewards over an extended period. It’s intense, rewarding and very different from day-to-day play.

How KvK works

  • Kingdoms are matched together on a special map.
  • The event runs in phases, gradually opening more of the map.
  • Players earn points and rewards by fighting, capturing objectives and contributing to their kingdom.

The details change between seasons, so always read the event screen and your alliance’s announcements.

How newer players can help

You don’t need to be a top player to contribute:

  1. Follow your alliance’s plan.
  2. Reinforce stronger players and garrisons.
  3. Gather safely to support the war effort.
  4. Join rallies your alliance calls.
  5. Avoid needless losses – every troop matters over a long event.

Fighting smart

  • Fight where your alliance is strong.
  • Use troop counters – see our troop types guide.
  • Retreat when the fight turns against you.
  • Heal quickly and rejoin.

Common mistakes

  • Running out of healing resources early.
  • Fighting alone far from allies.
  • Ignoring instructions.
  • Spending all speed-ups before KvK starts.

KvK is where alliances and kingdoms are tested. Prepare well, follow the plan and you’ll come out stronger. More on teamwork in our alliance guide.
