Most Mech Arena matches are played with teammates you’ve never met. You can’t control what they do, but you can play in a way that makes the whole team stronger.

Focus fire

Two mechs shooting one target destroy it far faster than two separate duels. When you see a teammate fighting:

  1. Shoot the same target.
  2. Prioritise damaged enemies – finishing them removes their damage from the fight.
  3. Switch to dangerous targets like flankers attacking your support.

Move as a group

  • Follow your tank when they push.
  • Don’t leave teammates alone on objectives.
  • Regroup after a lost fight instead of trickling back one by one.

Trade wisely

A “trade” is when you lose a mech but take one down in return. Good trades are fine; bad trades lose matches:

Good tradeBad trade
You fall while securing an objectiveYou fall chasing a kill far from the team
You take down the enemy’s main damage dealerYou fall to a 1v3 you couldn’t win

Support your teammates

  • Cover teammates’ backs from flankers.
  • Peel – attack enemies that dive onto your team.
  • Use team-support abilities at the right time.

Read the minimap

The minimap shows where your team is and where the enemy is likely to be. Check it often to avoid walking into fights alone.

Common mistakes

  • Playing like it’s a solo game.
  • Trickling back one at a time after a team wipe.
  • Ignoring teammates under attack.

Teamwork beats raw skill more often than you’d think. Use these habits alongside our game modes guide and watch your win rate rise.
