RAID Doom Tower Guide for Beginners: Floors, Bosses and Secret Rooms
Doom Tower is RAID's climbing challenge with rotating bosses and hidden secret rooms. Here's how it works, which keys you need and how to plan your climb.
Doom Tower is a long climb of floors, each with its own challenge. Along the way you’ll fight powerful bosses, discover secret rooms and earn some of the best gear sets in the game. It’s a mode you’ll come back to for months.
The structure
- The tower has Normal and Hard versions.
- You climb floor by floor; most floors are regular fights.
- Every so often you hit a boss floor, guarded by one of the tower’s bosses.
- Secret rooms appear between floors, offering extra fights and rewards.
Hard mode is far tougher and unlocks after you’ve progressed through Normal.
Keys
Doom Tower uses keys rather than only energy:
| Key | Used for |
|---|---|
| Gold keys | Repeating boss fights for rewards |
| Silver keys | Opening secret rooms |
Regular floors are cleared with energy as you climb. Plan your gold keys around the bosses you can actually beat.
The bosses
The tower has a rotating cast of bosses, including fights such as the Magma Dragon, Nether Spider, Frost Spider, Scarab King, Celestial Griffin, Eternal Dragon, Dreadhorn and Dark Fae. Each has its own mechanics and its own drop pool – many of them drop gear sets you can’t get anywhere else.
Bosses rotate over time, so the boss you can farm today may change. Check which ones are active before planning a farming session.
Climbing tips
- Read each floor’s enemies – Doom Tower floors often have specific threats like heavy crowd control or high-damage enemies.
- Bring a flexible roster. Unlike dungeons, you’ll need different teams for different floors.
- Use secret rooms – they’re often easier than the floors around them and the rewards are worth it.
- Don’t force hard floors. Come back after a few weeks of upgrades.
Team roles that help everywhere
- Cleansers or Block Debuffs for control-heavy floors.
- Decrease Attack for heavy hitters.
- Decrease Defense and Weaken for bosses.
- Revives when a key champion falls.
Read our buffs and debuffs explainer if any of those effects are new to you.
When to start Doom Tower
Start climbing once your gear dungeon teams are stable. Early floors give useful rewards immediately, and the boss fights become a long-term gear goal. Don’t worry about clearing everything – even partial progress is valuable.
Doom Tower is RAID at its most varied. Treat each floor as a puzzle and your whole roster will get stronger along the way.
