RAID: Shadow Legends Gear Sets Explained – What to Farm and Why

Speed, Lifesteal, Accuracy and more: a plain-English breakdown of the RAID gear sets that matter most and which champions should wear them.

Gear is where most of your power in RAID comes from. A rare champion in great gear will outperform a legendary in random gear almost every time. Here is how to think about gear sets without getting lost in the menus.

Stats before sets

Before choosing sets, understand which stats each role needs:

  • Damage dealers: Speed, Critical Rate (aim for 100%), Critical Damage and their scaling stat (Attack, Defense or HP).
  • Debuffers: Speed and Accuracy – a debuff that doesn’t land is wasted.
  • Supports & healers: Speed, HP and Defense, plus some Resistance for PvP.
  • Tanks: HP, Defense and Resistance.

Speed appears in every list on purpose. Going first is often worth more than hitting hard.

The sets that matter most early

SetPiecesWhat it doesWho wants it
Speed2Bonus SpeedAlmost everyone
Lifesteal4Heals for part of damage dealtCampaign farmers, Clan Boss DPS
Accuracy2Bonus AccuracyDebuffers
Offense / Crit Rate / Crit Damage2Raw damage statsDamage dealers
Life / Defense2SurvivabilityTanks, healers
Resistance2Resist enemy debuffsArena defence, late-game PvE

Most of these drop from the four gear dungeons. Lifesteal and Speed are worth targeting first because they help nearly every team.

Reading substats

Main stats on gloves, chest and boots are fixed once you pick them, but substats are random. When deciding what to keep:

  1. Keep anything with a Speed substat, especially if it rolled into Speed when upgraded.
  2. Keep pieces with two or more substats that match the champion’s role.
  3. Sell pieces with flat stats (flat Attack, flat Defense) unless the main stat is perfect.

Upgrade gear to +4, +8 and +12 in steps – each milestone adds or improves a substat, and you can stop investing in pieces that roll badly.

A simple gear plan

  • Weeks 1–2: Lifesteal + Speed on your farmer, Speed + Life on your support.
  • Weeks 3–6: Build one Accuracy debuffer, then Speed sets across your whole Clan Boss team.
  • Later: Specialise with sets like Relentless, Savage or Stalwart once you know which content you are struggling with.

Gear never stops mattering in RAID, so the earlier you build good habits – keep speed, sell flat stats, upgrade in steps – the faster your account grows.
