Stuck in the AFK Arena Campaign? 10 Tips to Push the Next Stage

Every AFK Arena player hits a campaign wall eventually. Before you give up or spend diamonds, try these fixes – most walls fall to small changes, not huge upgrades.

1. Check faction advantage

Look at the enemy team’s factions and swap in at least one hero who counters them. Bonus damage across a whole fight adds up fast. More in our factions guide.

2. Rearrange your formation

Move your tankiest hero opposite the enemy’s main damage dealer. Put your most fragile carry where enemy assassins are least likely to reach. See the formation guide.

3. Try again – really

Battles include randomness: critical hits, dodges and skill timing vary. If you lost narrowly, try the stage several more times before changing anything.

4. Look at how others cleared it

Many stages let you view formations that other players used to win. Even if you don’t have the same heroes, it shows which roles and factions work.

5. Level your core five evenly

Thanks to the Resonating Crystal, your top five heroes drive your whole roster’s level. Raising the lowest of the five often gives the biggest boost. See our Resonating Crystal guide.

6. Upgrade gear

Gear is easy to overlook. Equip the best pieces on your core heroes, especially gear that matches their faction. Our gear guide covers the basics.

7. Add crowd control

Stuns, freezes and pulls stop enemy ultimates. One good crowd-control hero can be worth more than raw damage.

8. Bring an energy support

Firing your ultimates first often decides the fight. Energy-boosting supports are especially strong in the campaign.

9. Collect idle rewards and wait a day

Sometimes the answer is simply resources. A day of idle rewards, Bounty Board and Labyrinth tokens can be enough. See our idle rewards guide.

10. Work on something else

Push the King’s Tower, the Labyrinth or a faction tower in the meantime – their rewards often help you break the campaign wall indirectly.
