AFK Arena King's Tower Guide: Main Tower and Faction Towers

The King’s Tower is AFK Arena’s climbing challenge. Each floor is a fixed battle, and clearing it gives one-time rewards. Alongside the main tower, there are faction towers that test how deep your roster is in each faction.

• Any hero can be used.
• Floors get steadily harder.
• Clearing floors gives one-time rewards and helps unlock other content.

Treat the main tower like a second campaign: push it whenever your team gets stronger.

Each faction tower restricts which heroes you can bring, and the towers are open on a schedule rather than every day. Check the tower screen for which towers are open today and the exact team rules.

Why faction towers matter

• Rewards – floors give resources you can’t easily farm elsewhere.
• Roster depth – they push you to build more than one team.
• Progress gates – some content and rewards are tied to faction tower progress.

Building teams for faction towers

1. Start with the faction where you’re strongest. Early floors are manageable with a few invested heroes.
2. Use the Resonating Crystal to bring faction heroes up to a useful level without spending resources. See our Resonating Crystal guide.
3. Fill the basic roles – a tank, a support and damage – even with lower-rarity heroes.
4. Ascend one or two key heroes per faction over time.

Climbing tips

• Retry close losses – battles have randomness.
• Rearrange your formation to protect your carries. See our formation guide.
• Look at the enemy’s factions – even inside a faction tower, enemies can be from other factions you counter.
• Don’t force it. When a tower stalls, work on another one and come back later.

When to focus on towers

The main tower is worth pushing from day one. Faction towers become important once your main team is stable and you’ve started building a second faction. They’re a great way to make use of heroes that would otherwise sit unused.

Climb steadily, rotate between towers, and the King’s Tower becomes a reliable source of rewards rather than a frustrating wall.
