RAID Campaign Farming Guide: Building a Farmer and Using Brutal 12-3
The campaign is RAID's food factory. Here's how to build a solo farmer, why Brutal 12-3 is the classic farming stage and how to squeeze more value from your energy.
Every RAID account eventually becomes a food factory: farm the campaign, level food champions, rank them up, repeat. The faster this loop runs, the faster everything else in your account grows.
What makes a good farmer
A campaign farmer clears a stage alone while three food champions sit in the team and collect XP. That needs:
- Area-of-effect damage to clear every wave quickly.
- Self-sustain, usually from the Lifesteal set.
- Enough Speed to act before the enemies.
- High Critical Rate and Critical Damage if the champion scales from Attack.
Many popular farmers scale from Defense or HP instead of Attack – that’s fine, as long as their damage clears the stage consistently.
Why Brutal 12-3?
Brutal 12-3 has long been considered the most efficient stage for experience per energy. The enemies are weak enough for a decent farmer to clear solo, and the XP payout per run is high. Players who can’t clear it yet usually farm an earlier Brutal or Hard stage until their farmer is strong enough.
You’ll know your farmer is ready when they can clear the stage on auto every single time. One loss wastes more energy than a slightly slower but safe run.
A step-by-step farming setup
- Gear your farmer with Lifesteal and the best Speed, Attack and crit stats you have.
- Fill the other three slots with food champions you want to level.
- Turn on auto-battle and use replays so the run repeats without you.
- Swap food as soon as each champion hits max level.
- Rank up in batches – see the rank-up guide.
Getting more out of your energy
- XP Boosts double the experience from each run – save them for long farming sessions.
- Free energy from daily quests, the Market and events adds up quickly.
- Energy refills with gems are one of the better uses of gems, especially during events that reward energy spending. More in our gem spending guide.
- Don’t farm without food. Running campaign with a full team of max-level champions wastes XP.
When to stop farming the campaign
Once you have a few 6-star champions and your main teams are built, your energy is often better spent on dungeons for gear and potions. A good rule of thumb: farm campaign when you need food for a specific rank-up, otherwise farm gear.
Troubleshooting a weak farmer
| Problem | Fix |
|---|---|
| Dies on the boss wave | More HP/DEF or a stronger Lifesteal set |
| Too slow | More Speed and Critical Damage |
| Misses kills | More Attack or a better AoE skill level |
| Gets stunned or controlled | Higher Resistance or a different stage |
A strong farmer is the most underrated investment in RAID. Build one early and everything else gets cheaper.
